The Philippine Indpendnce Day
Today is June 12, the day where we, Filipinos celebrate our 110th independence from the country's colonizers. The declaration of the Philippine independence day was headed by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo. It was done at the ancestral home of the general in Kawit Cavite and was presented in huge crowd of people.
But don't you know that the declaration was not recognized by the United States nor Spain? The independence of the Philippines was recognized only on August 4, 1946 by the United States.
On August 4, 1964, President Diosdado Macapagal signed the Republic Act No. 416 proclaiming June 12 as Philippine Independence Day in the name of nationalism and sovereignty of the Philippine Republic upon the advice of historians. That's the reason why we celebrate June 12 as Independence Day and not August 4.
Happy Independence day to my fellow Filipino!^_^

Pink Ribbon Month Tag
• The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman's mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.
• Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, delaying pregnancy until after age 30 or never becoming pregnant, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.
• Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.
• Ninety-six percent of women who find and treat breast cancer early will be cancer-free after five years.
• Over eighty percent of breast lumps are not cancerous, but benign such as fibrocystic breast disease.
• You are never too young to develop breast cancer! Breast Self-Exam should begin by the age of twenty.

God's Greatest Artwork
God's Greatest Artwork
In a far away land,
I saw two people holding hands...
They were so sweet to each other
And no one had the courage to bother...
The girl pushed the boy a while after
But the boy ran and hugged her,
Wiped her eyes full of tears...
Suddenly, she smiled with no fears..
There I saw how much they love each other
And how much they care for one another...
I was amazed of how love really works...
It was, indeed, God's greatest artwork.
The boy kissed the girl on the forehead,
and her cheeks turned into red...
They walked again holding hands,
and found their way to the promised land...
It's the poem i made for my cousin.. hehehe..
Well, it's more of a story than a poem... Just couldn't think of something to write to so i had decided to write something about her-- her lovelife... and so that's the story of her lovelife.. hehehe... oh! the last stanza's a lilbit funny. my friend resty commented that it sounds awkward. it's just that i thought the word "promised land" rhymns on the above line plus it could best descibe on a situation where in the couples have really decided to keep their relationship forever...

a qoute for you
"You can always close your eyes if you don't want to see things...but the heart can feel everything--even the things you don't want to feel"
well, it's not actually the right words written in the said show but that's what it says...i mean, that's what the quote wanted to say!
